Martin Luther King Jr.

Good Morning-

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., several of our classes have been writing reports, completing timelines and reading books about the Civil Rights Movement and Martin Luther King Jr. I've collected some resources that we've been using and would love to add some of yours!

One of our favorites has been the BrainPOP movie, quiz and activities.  If you do not have a BrainPOP subscription, this is your lucky day! This movie and activity sequence is free this month so take advantage. Occasionally, BrainPop does have some free content to share with non-subscribers, so check on a monthly basis to see what resources are available to you.

Also, another fan favorite is always Bookflix.  Here are two books that we have explored through Bookflix:

Here's the Bookflix link:

Here are some additional resources I've collected over the years:

This is a new one explaining how the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was built:

There are so many more resources out there! When I was in the classroom, our favorite video of Dr. King's life was the cartoon Our Friend Martin.  Below is a clip and a link you can follow to purchase the movie.  It's excellent!

Happy Teching!
